The BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 2% ; HPCL Among Top Losers

The BSE OIL & GAS Index has plunged 2% to 11,526.

Among the top losers in the BSE OIL & GAS Index today are HPCL (down 10.0%), BPCL (down 8.0%) and IOC (down 5.6%). Other loser include PETRONET LNG (up 0.5%).

ONGC (up 2.4%) and OIL INDIA (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, the BSE OIL & GAS Index has moved down from 15,300 to 11,526, loss of Rs 3,774 (down 24.7%).

The top losers among the BSE OIL & GAS during this same period were ONGC (down 52.8%), IOC (down 52.5%) and OIL INDIA (down 47.7%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 0.6% to 31,578.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are ONGC (up 2.4%), NTPC (up 1.2%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.1%). Other gainers include HDFC (up 1.1%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 0.7%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 9,233 (down 0.7%).
