The BSE AUTO Index Down 3% ; MOTHERSON SUMI Among Top Losers

The BSE AUTO Index has plunged 3% to 23,377.

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO Index today are MOTHERSON SUMI (down 6.0%), M&M (down 4.9%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 4.0%). Other losers include EICHER MOTOR (down 3.4%) and BHARAT FORGE (down 3.4%).

CUMMINS INDIA (up 0.9%) is among the top gainer today.

Over the last one year, the BSE AUTO Index has moved down from 24,652 to 23,377, loss of Rs 1,275 (down 5.2%).

The top losers among the BSE AUTO during this same period were TATA MOTORS (down 40.5%), CUMMINS INDIA (down 24.1%) and MOTHERSON SUMI (down 23.7%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 0.6% to 36,946.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 3.0%), INFOSYS LTD (up 2.9%) and VEDANTA LTD (up 2.7%). Other gainers include COAL INDIA (up 2.6%) and ONGC (up 2.4%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and VEDANTA LTD.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 11,170 (down 0.7%).
