Indian Stock Market Updates September 25, 2018

HEG LTD Plunges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 0.4%

HEG LTD share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 3,860.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 17,816 (down 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is HEG LTD (down 5.2%).

NBCC (INDIA) LTD (up 1.7%) and FINOLEX CABLES (up 1.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HEG LTD has moved up from Rs 940 to Rs 3,860, registering a gain of Rs 2,920 (up 310.4%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 17,465 to 17,816, registering a gain of 351 points (up 2.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were GRAPHITE INDIA (up 160.8%), AIA ENGINEERING (up 27.2%) and HAVELLS IND (up 25.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,454 (down 0.4%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 1.8%), ONGC (up 1.4%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 0.8%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 0.7%) and COAL INDIA (up 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and HDFC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,973 (down 0.6%). YES BANK (up 1.5%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,627 to 36,454, registering a gain of 4,827 points (up 14.3%).

HEG LTD Financial Update...

HEG LTD net profit stood at Rs 8 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 88.4% to Rs 15.9 billion during the period as against Rs 8.4 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, HEG LTD reported 2260.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 10.8 billion compared to net loss of Rs 500.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 207.8% to Rs 28 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 7.9x.
