PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES Plunges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.9%

PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 2,565.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 15,484 (up 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today is PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES (down 5.1%).

BIOCON LTD (up 3.3%) and BLISS GVS PHARMA (up 3.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES has moved down from Rs 2,689 to Rs 2,565, registering a loss of Rs 124 (down 4.6%)..

The BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 13,622 to 15,484, registering a gain of 1,862 points (up 13.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were BIOCON LTD (up 100.5%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 94.5%) and PFIZER (up 69.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,586 (up 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 2.5%), INFOSYS LTD (up 2.4%) and HIND. UNILEVER (up 1.9%). Other gainers include AXIS BANK (up 1.7%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are AXIS BANK and ITC LTD.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,049 . SUN PHARMA (up 2.5%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,627 to 36,586, registering a gain of 4,959 points (up 14.9%).

PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES Financial Update...

PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 1.5% to Rs 29.0 billion during the period as against Rs 28.6 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES reported 343.2% increase in net profit to Rs 48.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.9 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 24.5% to Rs 106 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.5x.
