SHREE CEMENT Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.4%

SHREE CEMENT share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 17,490.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,666 (down 1.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are SHREE CEMENT (down 5.0%) and HERO MOTOCORP (down 5.2%).

DCB BANK (up 2.0%) and CYIENT LTD (up 1.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SHREE CEMENT has moved down from Rs 17,946 to Rs 17,490, registering a loss of Rs 456 (down 2.5%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,488 to 14,666, registering a gain of 1,178 points (up 8.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 266.5%), SONATA SOFTWARE (up 156.3%) and L&T INFOTECH LTD (up 145.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,552 (down 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HDFC (up 1.9%), HDFC BANK (up 1.5%) and WIPRO (up 1.1%). Other gainers include AXIS BANK (up 0.8%) and SBI (up 0.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and AXIS BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,034 (down 0.8%). HDFC (up 1.9%) and WIPRO (up 1.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,160 to 36,552, registering a gain of 5,392 points (up 15.9%).

SHREE CEMENT Financial Update...

SHREE CEMENT net profit down at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 33.7% to Rs 30.7 billion during the period as against Rs 23.0 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, SHREE CEMENT reported 3.4% increase in net profit to Rs 13.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 13.4 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 5.2% to Rs 102 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SHREE CEMENT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 47.0x.
