The BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 3% ; BEML LTD. Among Top Losers

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index has plunged 3% to 17,184.

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are BEML LTD. (down 6.5%), HAVELLS IND (down 5.4%) and SADBHAV ENGINEERING (down 4.9%). Other losers include RELIANCE NAVAL & ENGINEERING LTD (down 4.6%) and CARBORUNDUM UNIVERSAL (down 4.2%).

WELSPUN CORP (up 1.2%) is among the top gainer today.

Over the last one year, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index has moved up from 17,038 to 17,184, registering a gain of Rs 146 (up 0.9%).

The top losers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS during this same period were RELIANCE NAVAL & ENGINEERING LTD (down 78.2%), SUZLON ENERGY (down 65.8%) and BEML LTD. (down 65.2%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 0.5% to 36,292.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 3.6%), INFOSYS LTD (up 3.5%) and YES BANK (up 2.5%). Other gainers include WIPRO (up 2.1%) and HDFC (up 1.1%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and INFOSYS LTD.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 10,932 (down 0.7%).
