GATI LTD Plunges by 11%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.8%

GATI LTD share price has plunged 11% and is presently trading at Rs 75.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,555 (up 0.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are GATI LTD (down 10.7%) and BANDHAN BANK LTD (down 20.0%).

IL&FS TRANSPORTATION (up 20.0%) and LAKSHMI VILAS BANK (up 19.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GATI LTD has moved down from Rs 107 to Rs 75, registering a loss of Rs 32 (down 29.6%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,550 to 14,555, registering a gain of 1,005 points (up 7.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 278.3%), L&T INFOTECH LTD (up 150.1%) and SONATA SOFTWARE (up 142.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,583 (up 1.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 9.1%), TATA MOTORS DVR (up 3.9%) and TCS (up 3.5%). Other gainers include SBI (up 3.3%) and ICICI BANK (up 3.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and INFOSYS LTD.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,036 (up 0.8%). YES BANK (up 8.8%) and HINDALCO (up 6.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,282 to 36,583, registering a gain of 5,301 points (up 16.9%).

GATI LTD Financial Update...

GATI LTD net profit stood at Rs 56 million for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 48 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 1.6% to Rs 4.6 billion during the period as against Rs 4.5 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2017, GATI LTD reported 24.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 373.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 492.0 million during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 1.4% to Rs 17 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GATI LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 22.4x.
