The BSE AUTO Index Down 2% ; ASHOK LEYLAND Among Top Losers

The BSE AUTO Index has plunged 2% to 20,628.

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO Index today are ASHOK LEYLAND (down 4.4%), M&M (down 3.8%) and TVS MOTORS (down 3.7%). Other losers include BAJAJ AUTO (down 3.7%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 1.8%).

MOTHERSON SUMI (up 1.1%) is among the top gainer today.

Over the last one year, the BSE AUTO Index has moved down from 24,452 to 20,628, loss of Rs 3,824 (down 15.6%).

The top losers among the BSE AUTO during this same period were TATA MOTORS (down 48.1%), EICHER MOTOR (down 30.1%) and HERO MOTOCORP (down 28.2%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 1.4% to 35,119.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are INDUSIND BANK (up 1.6%), INFOSYS LTD (up 1.2%) and SUN PHARMA (up 0.8%). Other gainers include HDFC BANK (up 0.6%) and TCS (up 0.4%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are POWER GRID and SUN PHARMA.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 10,541 (down 1.7%).
