JAIPRAKASH ASSO. plunged by 10%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.4%

JAIPRAKASH ASSO. share price has plunged 10% and is presently trading at Rs 18.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 2,293 (Down 1.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY Index today is JAIPRAKASH ASSO. (down 10.29%)

OBEROI REALTY (up 1.05%) and OMAXE LTD (up 0.45%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, JAIPRAKASH ASSO. has moved up from Rs 13 to Rs 18, registering a gain of Rs 5 (up 20.86%).

The BSE REALTY has moved up from 2,042 to 2,293, registering a gain of 251 points (up 10.80%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were PHOENIX MILL (up 73.92%), GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 46.58%) and OBEROI REALTY (up 35.98%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 34,974 (up 0.02%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TCS (up 2.28%), ICICI BANK (up 1.85%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.41%). Other gainers include L&T (up 1.35%) and GAIL (up 1.23%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,622 (down 0.18%). BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.02%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 30,435 to 34,974, registering a gain of 4,539 points (up 14.52%).

JAIPRAKASH ASSO. Financial Update...

JAIPRAKASH ASSO. net profit declined 53.1% YoY to Rs 787 million for the quarter ended March 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 144.9% to Rs 16.1 billion during the period as against Rs 11.1 billion in January-March 2017.

For the year ended March 2017, JAIPRAKASH ASSO. reported 213.8% increase in net profit to Rs 63.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 29.6 billion during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 74.7% to Rs 143 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of JAIPRAKASH ASSO., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 10.9x.
