HSIL LTD Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.1%

HSIL LTD share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 235.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 13,684 (up 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are HSIL LTD (down 5.2%) and TECHNO ELECTRIC (down 5.2%).

BOMBAY DYEING (up 9.9%) and JUST DIAL (up 9.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HSIL LTD has moved down from Rs 413 to Rs 235, registering a loss of Rs 178 (down 43.1%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,494 to 13,684, loss of 810 points (down 5.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 171.6%), L&T TECHONOLOGY SERVICES (up 107.2%) and GRAPHITE INDIA (up 107.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 34,070 . The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,252 . GAIL (up 4.1%) and TATA MOTORS (up 3.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,266 to 34,070, registering a gain of 804 points (up 2.4%).

HSIL LTD Financial Update...

HSIL LTD net profit down at Rs 21 million for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 156 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 6.2% to Rs 5.4 billion during the period as against Rs 5.8 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, HSIL LTD reported 19.6% decrease in net profit to Rs 806.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 1.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 2.6% to Rs 23 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HSIL LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 24.9x.
