BALKRISHNA IND Plunges by 7%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.5%

BALKRISHNA IND share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 1,041.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,152 (up 0.5%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are BALKRISHNA IND (down 6.9%) and V-MART RETAIL (down 5.0%).
DENA BANK (up 8.1%) and ANDHRA BANK (up 5.6%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, BALKRISHNA IND has moved up from Rs 908 to Rs 1,041, registering a gain of Rs 133 (up 14.7%)..
The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,682 to 14,152, loss of 530 points (down 3.6%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 116.4%), L&T INFOTECH LTD (up 108.1%) and L&T TECHONOLOGY SERVICES (up 93.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 35,137 (up 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS DVR (up 4.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA MOTORS and YES BANK.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,590 (up 0.6%). TATA MOTORS (up 3.8%) and GAIL (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,731 to 35,137, registering a gain of 1,406 points (up 4.1%).
BALKRISHNA IND Financial Update...
BALKRISHNA IND net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 23.1% to Rs 13.6 billion during the period as against Rs 11.1 billion in April-June 2017.
For the year ended March 2018, BALKRISHNA IND reported 2.6% increase in net profit to Rs 7.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 7.2 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 18.0% to Rs 45 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of BALKRISHNA IND, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 23.6x.
