MAX INDIA LTD Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.0%

MAX INDIA LTD share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 70.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,336 (down 1.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are MAX INDIA LTD (down 5.2%) and VINATI ORG. (down 5.0%).

ITI LTD (up 12.0%) and BEML LTD. (up 4.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, MAX INDIA LTD has moved down from Rs 139 to Rs 70, registering a loss of Rs 69 (down 49.5%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,494 to 14,336, loss of 158 points (down 1.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 146.8%), V-MART RETAIL (up 91.5%) and NIIT TECHNOLOGIES (up 73.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 35,732 (down 0.9%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 1.3%), ADANI PORTS & SEZ (up 1.1%) and M&M (up 0.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ADANI PORTS & SEZ and M&M.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,741 (down 1.1%). GAIL (up 2.6%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 1.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,360 to 35,732, registering a gain of 2,372 points (up 6.3%).

MAX INDIA LTD Financial Update...

For the year ended March 2017, MAX INDIA LTD reported 53.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 461.0 million compared to net loss of Rs 986.0 million during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 18.0% to Rs 14 billion during FY17.
