Indian Stock Market Updates January 30, 2019

PRISM JOHNSON Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.2%

PRISM JOHNSON share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 74.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,154 (up 0.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are PRISM JOHNSON (down 5.9%) and GODREJ CONSUMER (down 7.5%).

GRAPHITE INDIA (up 10.0%) and FORCE MOTORS (up 8.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PRISM JOHNSON has moved down from Rs 130 to Rs 74, registering a loss of Rs 56 (down 43.2%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 15,533 to 14,154, loss of 1,379 points (down 8.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were VINATI ORG. (up 68.5%), AARTI INDUST (up 53.7%) and BATA INDIA (up 53.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 35,850 (up 0.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are AXIS BANK (up 5.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,710 (up 0.2%). AXIS BANK (up 5.6%) and TATA STEEL (up 4.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,283 to 35,850, registering a gain of -433 points (up -1.6%).

PRISM JOHNSON Financial Update...

PRISM JOHNSON net profit down at Rs 70 million for the quarter ended September 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 148 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.3% to Rs 13.4 billion during the period as against Rs 13.0 billion in July-September 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, PRISM JOHNSON reported 306.0% increase in net profit to Rs 518.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 128.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 1.4% to Rs 56 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PRISM JOHNSON, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 22.4x.
