GRAPHITE INDIA Plunges by 10%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.9%

GRAPHITE INDIA share price has plunged 10% and is presently trading at Rs 373.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 19,485 (up 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is GRAPHITE INDIA (down 10.0%).

SUZLON ENERGY (up 14.3%) and CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (up 3.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GRAPHITE INDIA has moved down from Rs 790 to Rs 373, registering a loss of Rs 417 (down 52.8%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 18,017 to 19,485, registering a gain of 1,468 points (up 8.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HAVELLS IND (up 45.2%), HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 34.0%) and ABB INDIA (up 29.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,374 (up 0.4%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 4.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,761 (up 0.5%). INDIABULLS HOU. FIN. (up 6.4%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,287 to 39,374, registering a gain of 4,087 points (up 11.3%).

GRAPHITE INDIA Financial Update...

GRAPHITE INDIA net profit down at Rs 6 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 8 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 8.7% to Rs 16.9 billion during the period as against Rs 18.6 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, GRAPHITE INDIA reported 234.6% increase in net profit to Rs 34.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.3 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 138.8% to Rs 79 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GRAPHITE INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 2.3x.
