HEIDELBERG CEMENT Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 2.2%

HEIDELBERG CEMENT share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 198.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,278 (down 2.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are HEIDELBERG CEMENT (down 5.0%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 5.5%).

YES BANK (up 5.6%) and RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS (up 4.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HEIDELBERG CEMENT has moved up from Rs 140 to Rs 198, registering a gain of Rs 58 (up 41.9%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,547 to 15,278, registering a gain of 731 points (up 5.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 296.8%), VINATI ORGANICS (up 115.4%) and DCM SHRIRAM (up 84.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,476 (down 2.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 5.6%), HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.4%) and TCS (up 0.7%). Other gainer include INFOSYS . The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,772 (down 2.1%). YES BANK (up 5.8%) and HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,575 to 39,476, registering a gain of 3,901 points (up 8.8%).

HEIDELBERG CEMENT Financial Update...

HEIDELBERG CEMENT net profit stood at Rs 609 million for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 586 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 3.6% to Rs 5.4 billion during the period as against Rs 5.6 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, HEIDELBERG CEMENT reported 74.8% increase in net profit to Rs 1.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 762.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 2.0% to Rs 20 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEIDELBERG CEMENT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.4x.
