TATA MOTORS Plunges by 5%; BSE AUTO Index Down 0.3%

TATA MOTORS share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 137.
Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 15,827 (down 0.3%).
Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO Index today is TATA MOTORS (down 5.1%).
CUMMINS INDIA (up 2.6%) and TVS MOTORS (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, TATA MOTORS has moved down from Rs 257 to Rs 137, registering a loss of Rs 120 (down 46.8%)..
The BSE AUTO has moved down from 24,159 to 15,827, loss of 8,332 points (down 34.5%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE AUTO Index stocks during this same period were CUMMINS INDIA (up 12.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 37,831 (down 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 2.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are INDUSIND BANK and NTPC.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,253 (down 0.3%). BHARTI INFRATEL (up 1.5%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,858 to 37,831, registering a gain of 973 points (up 2.6%).
TATA MOTORS Financial Update...
TATA MOTORS net profit declined 104.3% YoY to Rs 12 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 268 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 12.2% to Rs 864.2 billion during the period as against Rs 770.0 billion in January-March 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, TATA MOTORS reported 85.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 7.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 48.4 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 3.3% to Rs 3,019 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA MOTORS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 1.4x.
