V-MART RETAIL Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.3%

V-MART RETAIL share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,834.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 13,947 (down 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are V-MART RETAIL (down 5.8%) and THERMAX (down 6.2%).

SCHAEFFLER INDIA LTD (up 6.2%) and CAPLIN POINT (up 6.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, V-MART RETAIL has moved down from Rs 2,815 to Rs 1,834, registering a loss of Rs 982 (down 34.9%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 15,404 to 13,947, loss of 1,457 points (down 9.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were PROCTER & GAMBLE HEALTH (up 92.5%), ADANI POWER (up 76.4%) and VINATI ORGANICS (up 54.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,568 (down 0.4%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are M&M (up 0.2%), L&T (up 0.1%) and INFOSYS . The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are INFOSYS and L&T.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,815 (down 0.4%). TECH MAHINDRA (up 0.3%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 0.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 37,692 to 36,568, registering a gain of -1,124 points (up -3.0%).

V-MART RETAIL Financial Update...

V-MART RETAIL net profit down at Rs 176 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 417 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 2.7% to Rs 4.5 billion during the period as against Rs 4.7 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, V-MART RETAIL reported 77.0% increase in net profit to Rs 777.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 439.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 22.0% to Rs 12 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of V-MART RETAIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 59.9x.
