The BSE BANKEX Index Down 3% ; YES BANK Among Top Losers

The BSE BANKEX Index has plunged 3% to 31,347.

Among the top losers in the BSE BANKEX Index today are YES BANK (down 11.9%), BANK OF BARODA (down 3.9%) and ICICI BANK (down 3.4%). Other losers include SBI (down 3.3%) and HDFC BANK (down 2.5%).

In the meantime, the NIFTY BANK has plunged 2.4% to 27,690.

The top losers in the NIFTY BANK include YES BANK (down 12.1%), DCB BANK (down 8.5%) and RBL BANK LTD (down 6.0%). Other losers include INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK (down 5.6%) and UNITED BANK OF INDIA (down 5.6%).

Over the last one year, the BSE BANKEX Index has moved down from 31,964 to 31,347, loss of Rs 617 (down 1.9%).

The top losers among the BSE BANKEX during this same period were YES BANK (down 85.3%), BANK OF BARODA (down 39.5%) and INDUSIND BANK (down 32.2%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 1.7% to 37,088.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are HUL (up 1.2%), TCS (up 1.2%) and HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 0.1%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HUL and TCS.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 10,908 (down 1.7%).
