RELIANCE INFRA Surges by 5%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.7%

RELIANCE INFRA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 38.
Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,860 (up 0.7%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is RELIANCE INFRA (up 5.4%).
SIEMENS (down 0.3%) and POWER GRID (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, RELIANCE INFRA has moved down from Rs 410 to Rs 38, registering a loss of Rs 371 (down 90.7%).
On the other hand, the BSE POWER has moved down from 2,035 to 1,860, loss of 175 points (down 8.8%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 80.5%), ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 30.1%) and KALPATARU POWER (up 27.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 36,625 .
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 5.8%), VEDANTA LTD (up 3.4%) and TATA STEEL (up 2.5%). Other gainers include M&M (up 2.4%) and ONGC (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,795 . YES BANK (up 4.4%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 38,337 to 36,625, registering a gain of -1,712 points (up -4.9%).
RELIANCE INFRA Financial Update...
RELIANCE INFRA net profit down at Rs 22 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 2.5% to Rs 40.1 billion during the period as against Rs 41.2 billion in January-March 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE INFRA reported 468.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.6 billion compared to net loss of Rs 966.0 million during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 3.7% to Rs 254 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.2x.
