VODAFONE IDEA Surges by 10%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.9%

VODAFONE IDEA share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 6.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 13,968 (up 0.9%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are VODAFONE IDEA (up 10.1%) and STERLITE TECH. (up 13.3%).
PAGE INDUSTRIES and GSK CONSUMER (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, VODAFONE IDEA has moved down from Rs 32 to Rs 6, registering a loss of Rs 26 (down 81.8%).
On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved down from 15,664 to 13,968, loss of 1,696 points (down 11.0%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 84.5%), SPICEJET (up 67.7%) and VINATI ORGANICS (up 56.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 36,807 (up 0.7%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are VEDANTA LTD (up 6.4%), YES BANK (up 6.3%) and ONGC (up 5.3%). Other gainers include COAL INDIA (up 4.6%) and TATA STEEL (up 4.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,863 (up 0.8%). YES BANK (up 5.7%) and GRASIM (up 5.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 38,337 to 36,807, registering a gain of -1,530 points (up -4.2%).
VODAFONE IDEA Financial Update...
VODAFONE IDEA net profit down at Rs 49 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 50 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.2% to Rs 112.7 billion during the period as against Rs 117.6 billion in April-June 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, VODAFONE IDEA reported 446.6% increase in net profit to Rs 44.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.2 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 20.5% to Rs 283 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of VODAFONE IDEA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.3x.
