TATA MOTORS Plunges by 5%; BSE AUTO Index Down 1.8%

TATA MOTORS share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 113.
Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 15,565 (down 1.8%).
Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO Index today is TATA MOTORS (down 5.1%).
APOLLO TYRES (up 1.2%) and CUMMINS INDIA (up 0.6%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, TATA MOTORS has moved down from Rs 267 to Rs 113, registering a loss of Rs 154 (down 57.6%)..
The BSE AUTO has moved down from 24,505 to 15,565, loss of 8,940 points (down 36.5%) during the last 12 months.

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 36,637 (up 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and TATA STEEL.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,824 (up 0.1%). BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.8%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 38,313 to 36,637, registering a gain of -1,676 points (up -4.4%).
TATA MOTORS Financial Update...
TATA MOTORS net profit declined 87.2% YoY to Rs 34 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 268 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 20.2% to Rs 614.7 billion during the period as against Rs 770.0 billion in April-June 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, TATA MOTORS reported 85.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 7.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 48.4 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 3.3% to Rs 3,019 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA MOTORS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 1.0x.
