Indian Stock Market Updates September 5, 2019

RELIANCE INFRA Surges by 5%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.5%

RELIANCE INFRA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 38.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,923 (up 1.5%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is RELIANCE INFRA (up 5.2%).

KALPATARU POWER (down 1.2%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, RELIANCE INFRA has moved down from Rs 453 to Rs 38, registering a loss of Rs 415 (down 91.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER has moved down from 2,073 to 1,923, loss of 150 points (down 9.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 74.8%), KALPATARU POWER (up 23.4%) and SIEMENS (up 19.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,899 (down 0.3%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS (up 5.5%), TATA MOTORS DVR (up 4.7%) and ONGC (up 4.7%). Other gainers include COAL INDIA (up 4.5%) and NTPC (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,920 (down 0.2%). TATA MOTORS (up 5.2%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,158 to 36,899, registering a loss of 1,259 points (down 4.0%).

RELIANCE INFRA Financial Update...

RELIANCE INFRA net profit declined 235.6% YoY to Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 32.8% to Rs 54.7 billion during the period as against Rs 41.2 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE INFRA reported 468.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.6 billion compared to net loss of Rs 966.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 3.7% to Rs 254 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.2x.
