SIEMENS Surges by 8%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 6.3%

SIEMENS share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 1,459.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 19,222 (up 6.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are SIEMENS (up 8.5%) and L&T (up 7.8%).

CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (down 0.2%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, SIEMENS has moved up from Rs 928 to Rs 1,459, registering a gain of Rs 532 (up 55.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 18,058 to 19,222, registering a gain of 1,164 points (up 6.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were SIEMENS (up 55.2%), KALPATARU POWER (up 49.9%) and BHARAT ELECTRONICS (up 37.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,346 (up 2.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ITC (up 8.5%), L&T (up 7.8%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 6.7%). Other gainers include M&M (up 5.1%) and ASIAN PAINTS (up 5.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,666 (up 2.8%). L&T (up 8.5%) and ITC (up 7.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,842 to 39,346, registering a gain of 2,504 points (up 6.0%).

SIEMENS Financial Update...

SIEMENS net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 13.9% to Rs 32.0 billion during the period as against Rs 28.1 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended September 2017, SIEMENS reported 852.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 5.7 billion compared to net loss of Rs 752.0 million during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 1.1% to Rs 113 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SIEMENS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 54.8x.
