RELIANCE POWER Plunges by 10%; BSE POWER Index Down 0.3%

RELIANCE POWER share price has plunged 10% and is presently trading at Rs 2.
Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,941 (down 0.3%).
Among the top losers in the BSE POWER Index today are RELIANCE POWER (down 10.0%) and RELIANCE INFRA (down 6.0%).
NTPC (up 0.5%) and POWER GRID (up 0.1%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, RELIANCE POWER has moved down from Rs 26 to Rs 2, registering a loss of Rs 24 (down 90.7%)..
The BSE POWER has moved down from 1,976 to 1,941, loss of 35 points (down 1.8%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 153.1%), SIEMENS (up 58.8%) and KALPATARU POWER (up 43.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 38,873 (down 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 2.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and RELIANCE IND..
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,505 (down 0.7%). HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 3.1%) and TCS (up 1.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,324 to 38,873, registering a gain of 2,549 points (up 6.3%).
RELIANCE POWER Financial Update...
RELIANCE POWER net profit down at Rs 352 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 1.2% to Rs 20.8 billion during the period as against Rs 21.0 billion in April-June 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE POWER reported 6.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 10.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 5.3% to Rs 98 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.2x.
