DHFL Plunges by 7%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.8%

DHFL share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 44.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,918 (down 0.8%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are DHFL (down 7.1%) and INDUSIND BANK (down 5.3%).
MRPL (up 3.5%) and HSIL LTD (up 3.2%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, DHFL has moved down from Rs 290 to Rs 44, registering a loss of Rs 247 (down 85.0%)..
The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,591 to 14,918, registering a gain of 327 points (up 2.2%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 153.1%), INTERGLOBE AVIATION (INDIGO) (up 121.3%) and MANAPPURAM FINANCE (up 89.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 38,873 (down 0.8%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 3.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and NTPC.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,505 (down 0.8%). HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 3.0%) and TCS (up 1.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,324 to 38,873, registering a gain of 2,549 points (up 6.0%).
DHFL Financial Update...
DHFL net profit down at Rs 22 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.5% to Rs 31.0 billion during the period as against Rs 32.5 billion in January-March 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, DHFL reported 22.6% increase in net profit to Rs 11.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 9.4 billion during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 9.4% to Rs 105 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of DHFL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 1.2x.
