MMTC LTD Plunges by 7%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.8%

MMTC LTD share price has plunged 7% and is presently trading at Rs 16.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,610 (down 0.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are MMTC LTD (down 7.0%) and MAHINDRA HOLIDAYS (down 7.4%).

YES BANK (up 23.3%) and RELIANCE POWER (up 6.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, MMTC LTD has moved down from Rs 27 to Rs 16, registering a loss of Rs 11 (down 39.6%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,534 to 14,610, registering a gain of 76 points (up 0.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 134.4%), INTERGLOBE AVIATION (INDIGO) (up 122.9%) and SPICEJET (up 90.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,167 (down 0.8%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 23.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,322 (down 0.6%). YES BANK (up 16.6%) and TATA MOTORS (up 2.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,526 to 38,167, registering a gain of 1,641 points (up 4.0%).

MMTC LTD Financial Update...

MMTC LTD net profit down at Rs 197 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 280 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 26.5% to Rs 68.9 billion during the period as against Rs 93.7 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, MMTC LTD reported 201.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 346.0 million compared to net loss of Rs 341.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 39.1% to Rs 165 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of MMTC LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 16.8x.
