ZEE ENTERTAINMENT Plunges by 12%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.3%

ZEE ENTERTAINMENT share price has plunged 12% and is presently trading at Rs 224.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,465 (down 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today is ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (down 11.7%).

LINDE INDIA (up 5.1%) and MANPASAND BEVERAGES (up 5.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, ZEE ENTERTAINMENT has moved down from Rs 439 to Rs 224, registering a loss of Rs 215 (down 49.0%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,047 to 14,465, registering a gain of 418 points (up 3.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 144.1%), INTERGLOBE AVIATION (INDIGO) (up 121.8%) and BATA INDIA (up 91.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 37,854 (down 0.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 3.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and HDFC BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,198 (down 0.4%). YES BANK (up 4.2%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,169 to 37,854, registering a gain of 2,685 points (up 7.1%).

ZEE ENTERTAINMENT Financial Update...

ZEE ENTERTAINMENT net profit down at Rs 5 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 6 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 7.3% to Rs 20.1 billion during the period as against Rs 21.7 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, ZEE ENTERTAINMENT reported 18.2% increase in net profit to Rs 15.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 13.4 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 18.7% to Rs 79 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ZEE ENTERTAINMENT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 11.4x.
