Indian Stock Market Updates October 11, 2019

TATA COMM. Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.4%

TATA COMM. share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 372.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,606 (up 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are TATA COMM. (down 6.2%) and RBL BANK LTD (down 9.0%).

SUZLON ENERGY (up 13.3%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (up 3.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TATA COMM. has moved down from Rs 493 to Rs 372, registering a loss of Rs 122 (down 24.7%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,882 to 14,606, registering a gain of 724 points (up 5.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 143.1%), INTERGLOBE AVIATION (INDIGO) (up 136.8%) and ADANI POWER (up 107.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,345 (up 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ONGC (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA MOTORS and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,363 (up 0.5%). VEDANTA LTD (up 3.2%) and ONGC (up 3.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,761 to 38,345, registering a gain of 3,584 points (up 9.7%).

TATA COMM. Financial Update...

TATA COMM. net profit down at Rs 749 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 2.4% to Rs 41.7 billion during the period as against Rs 42.7 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, TATA COMM. reported 77.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 662.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 3.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 5.5% to Rs 167 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA COMM., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 48.2x.
