Indian Stock Market Updates October 14, 2019

DLF Surges by 5%; BSE REALTY Index Up 2.7%

DLF share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 154.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 1,956 (up 2.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE REALTY Index today is DLF (up 5.3%).

MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (down 0.2%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, DLF has moved down from Rs 154 to Rs 154, registering a loss of Rs 0 (down 0.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY has moved up from 1,565 to 1,956, registering a gain of 391 points (up 24.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 109.3%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 67.3%) and OBEROI REALTY (up 36.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 38,357 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS (up 5.2%), TATA MOTORS DVR (up 4.7%) and VEDANTA LTD (up 3.7%). Other gainers include TATA STEEL (up 3.7%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 2.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA MOTORS and TATA STEEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,376 (up 0.6%). TATA MOTORS (up 5.8%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,001 to 38,357, registering a gain of 4,356 points (up 12.8%).

DLF Financial Update...

DLF net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 40.0% to Rs 13.3 billion during the period as against Rs 22.2 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, DLF reported 1305.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 44.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.7 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 18.4% to Rs 67 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of DLF, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 33.1x.
