WOCKHARDT LTD. surges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 3.6%

WOCKHARDT LTD. share price has Zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 695.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 13,423 (Up 3.6%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are WOCKHARDT LTD. (up 5.32%) and AJANTA PHARMA (up 5.61%).

SYNGENE INTERNATIONAL (down 0.15%) and ALKEM LABORATORIES (down 0.26%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, WOCKHARDT LTD. has moved up from Rs 622 to Rs 695, registering a gain of Rs 73 (up 11.50%)

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved down from 13,952 to 13,423, loss of 529 points (down 3.82%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 8.32%), DR. REDDYS LAB (up 4.33%) and TATA MOTORS DVR (up 3.45%). Other gainers include TATA MOTORS (up 1.97%) and TCS (up 0.84%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,750 (down 0.29%). SUN PHARMA (up 8.39%) and LUPIN LTD (up 4.78%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,271 to 35,415, registering a gain of 4,144 points (up 13.06%).

WOCKHARDT LTD. Financial Update...

WOCKHARDT LTD. net profit declined 355.5% YoY to Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended March 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 426 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 101.3% to Rs 10.2 billion during the period as against Rs 10.1 billion in January-March 2017.

For the year ended March 2017, WOCKHARDT LTD. reported 89.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.5 billion during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 90.2% to Rs 40 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WOCKHARDT LTD., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 11.5x.
