VOLTAS at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Up 1.0%

VOLTAS share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 718 (up 0.9%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,099 (up 0.5%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are VOLTAS (up 0.9%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 10.9%).

TEJAS NETWORKS LTD (down 9.9%) and VODAFONE IDEA (down 6.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, VOLTAS has moved up from Rs 507 to Rs 718, registering a gain of Rs 211 (up 40.84%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,470 to 15,099, registering a gain of 1,629 points (up 12.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 148.5%), RELIANCE NIPPON LIFE ASSET MANAGEMENT LTD (up 117.1%) and KEI INDUSTRIES (up 114.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,327 (up 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.2%), L&T (up 1.8%) and YES BANK (up 1.5%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 0.9%) and AXIS BANK (up 0.9%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,680 (up 0.5%). HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 4.1%) and YES BANK (up 1.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,847 to 39,327, registering a gain of 5,480 points (up 16.1%).

VOLTAS Financial Update...

VOLTAS net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 77.9% to Rs 26.5 billion during the period as against Rs 14.9 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, VOLTAS reported 0.7% increase in net profit to Rs 5.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.7 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 10.8% to Rs 71 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VOLTAS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 41.7x.
