VODAFONE IDEA Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.6%

VODAFONE IDEA share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 4.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,410 (up 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are VODAFONE IDEA (down 5.5%) and TV TODAY NETWORK (down 6.3%).

UNITED BANK OF INDIA (up 14.6%) and JK TYRE & IND (up 9.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, VODAFONE IDEA has moved down from Rs 24 to Rs 4, registering a loss of Rs 20 (down 83.8%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,647 to 15,410, registering a gain of 1,763 points (up 12.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were RELIANCE NIPPON LIFE ASSET MANAGEMENT LTD (up 130.8%), ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 130.7%) and MANAPPURAM FINANCE (up 116.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,274 (up 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SBI (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA MOTORS and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,915 (up 0.6%). SBI (up 2.9%) and INFOSYS (up 2.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,891 to 40,274, registering a gain of 6,383 points (up 18.8%).

VODAFONE IDEA Financial Update...

VODAFONE IDEA net profit down at Rs 49 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 50 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.2% to Rs 112.7 billion during the period as against Rs 117.6 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, VODAFONE IDEA reported 446.6% increase in net profit to Rs 44.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 8.2 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 20.5% to Rs 283 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VODAFONE IDEA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.2x.
