CENTRAL BANK Surges by 8%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 0.2%

CENTRAL BANK share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 24.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 34,118 (up 0.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is CENTRAL BANK (up 7.7%).

KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK and AXIS BANK (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, CENTRAL BANK has moved down from Rs 32 to Rs 24, registering a loss of Rs 7 (down 23.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved up from 28,360 to 34,118, registering a gain of 5,758 points (up 19.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 40.7%), ICICI BANK (up 31.2%) and HDFC BANK (up 29.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,206 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 1.8%), HDFC (up 1.4%) and ITC (up 0.8%). Other gainers include ICICI BANK (up 0.6%) and BAJAJ FINANCE (up 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC BANK and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,901 (up 0.2%). BHARTI INFRATEL (up 2.7%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,442 to 40,206, registering a gain of 5,764 points (up 16.7%).
