WOCKHARDT Surges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.3%

WOCKHARDT share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 310.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 13,444 (up 0.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are WOCKHARDT (up 5.4%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 6.0%).

SUN PHARMA (down 0.1%) and ERIS LIFESCIENCES LIMITED (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, WOCKHARDT has moved down from Rs 506 to Rs 310, registering a loss of Rs 196 (down 40.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved down from 14,633 to 13,444, loss of 1,189 points (down 8.8%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were DR. LAL PATHLABS LTD (up 65.8%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 58.0%) and ASTRAZENECA PHARMA (up 55.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,483 (up 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are VEDANTA LTD (up 4.2%), TATA STEEL (up 3.8%) and INFOSYS (up 3.6%). Other gainers include ONGC (up 3.1%) and ICICI BANK (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are INFOSYS and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,989 (up 0.3%). JSW STEEL (up 6.3%) and BHARTI INFRATEL (up 6.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,432 to 40,483, registering a gain of 6,051 points (up 16.9%).

WOCKHARDT Financial Update...

WOCKHARDT net profit declined 52.0% YoY to Rs 369 million for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 769 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 17.5% to Rs 8.6 billion during the period as against Rs 10.5 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, WOCKHARDT reported 36.6% increase in net profit to Rs 3.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.3 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 1.9% to Rs 39 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WOCKHARDT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 22.3x.
