Indian Stock Market Updates November 15, 2019

GREAVES COTTON Surges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.5%

GREAVES COTTON share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 147.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 17,994 (up 0.5%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is GREAVES COTTON (up 5.1%).

THERMAX (down 0.2%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (down 0.5%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GREAVES COTTON has moved up from Rs 122 to Rs 147, registering a gain of Rs 25 (up 20.2%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,309 to 17,994, loss of 315 points (down 1.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were SIEMENS (up 81.9%), HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 33.2%) and KALPATARU POWER (up 25.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,528 (up 0.6%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS DVR (up 3.7%), TATA MOTORS (up 2.9%) and SBI (up 2.7%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.6%) and ONGC (up 1.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and BHARTI AIRTEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,938 (up 0.5%). TATA MOTORS (up 2.8%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,142 to 40,528, registering a gain of 5,386 points (up 15.3%).

GREAVES COTTON Financial Update...

GREAVES COTTON net profit stood at Rs 453 million for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 427 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 3.2% to Rs 4.9 billion during the period as against Rs 5.1 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, GREAVES COTTON reported 16.7% increase in net profit to Rs 1.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.5 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 9.5% to Rs 20 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GREAVES COTTON, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 21.9x.
