FORTIS HEALTHCARE Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.3%

FORTIS HEALTHCARE share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 141.
Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,400 (up 0.3%).
Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are FORTIS HEALTHCARE (down 5.4%) and MAGMA FINCORP (down 5.4%).
VODAFONE IDEA (up 19.3%) and CORPORATION BANK (up 10.6%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, FORTIS HEALTHCARE has moved down from Rs 144 to Rs 141, registering a loss of Rs 2 (down 1.7%)..
The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,193 to 15,400, registering a gain of 1,207 points (up 8.5%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 118.2%), RELIANCE NIPPON LIFE ASSET MANAGEMENT LTD (up 107.4%) and MAH. SCOOTERS (up 97.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 40,542 (up 0.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and BHARTI AIRTEL.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,946 (up 0.2%). BPCL (up 3.4%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 3.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,261 to 40,542, registering a gain of 5,281 points (up 14.8%).
FORTIS HEALTHCARE Financial Update...
FORTIS HEALTHCARE net profit declined 161.3% YoY to Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 9.9% to Rs 12.1 billion during the period as against Rs 11.0 billion in July-September 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, FORTIS HEALTHCARE reported 97.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 13.0 million compared to net loss of Rs 534.0 million during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 2.0% to Rs 45 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of FORTIS HEALTHCARE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 56.1x.
