Indian Stock Market Updates November 28, 2019

RELIANCE IND. at All Time High; BSE OIL & GAS Index Up 0.1%

RELIANCE IND. share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 1,581 (up 0.7%).

Meanwhile, the BSE OIL & GAS Index is at 15,254 (up 0.1%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE OIL & GAS Index today are RELIANCE IND. (up 0.7%) and INDRAPRASTHA GAS (up 1.0%).

HPCL (down 0.1%) and CASTROL INDIA (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, RELIANCE IND. has moved up from Rs 1,128 to Rs 1,581, registering a gain of Rs 454 (up 40.2%).

The BSE OIL & GAS has moved up from 13,507 to 15,254, registering a gain of 1,747 points (up 12.7%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE OIL & GAS Index stocks during this same period were INDRAPRASTHA GAS (up 53.5%), BPCL (up 50.8%) and RELIANCE IND. (up 40.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,164 (up 0.2%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 2.2%), ICICI BANK (up 1.9%) and SBI (up 1.4%). Other gainers include TCS (up 1.3%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,138 (up 0.2%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BHARTI INFRATEL (up 7.4%), UPL (up 3.9%) and YES BANK (up 2.1%). Other gainers include ICICI BANK (up 1.9%) and JSW STEEL (up 1.7%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,513 to 41,164, registering a gain of 5,651 points (up 15.7%).

RELIANCE IND. Financial Update...

RELIANCE IND. net profit stood at Rs 113 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 104 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 5.1% to Rs 1521.5 billion during the period as against Rs 1603.0 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, RELIANCE IND. reported 10.3% increase in net profit to Rs 397.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 360.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 42.4% to Rs 5,855 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE IND., based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 23.8x.
