Indian Stock Market Updates November 29, 2019

RELIANCE POWER Plunges by 5%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.7%

RELIANCE POWER share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 4.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,932 (up 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER Index today is RELIANCE POWER (down 5.0%).

ADANI POWER (up 2.5%) and GMR INFRA (up 2.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, RELIANCE POWER has moved down from Rs 30 to Rs 4, registering a loss of Rs 26 (down 86.8%)..

The BSE POWER has moved up from 1,924 to 1,932, registering a gain of 8 points (up 0.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were SIEMENS (up 63.2%), GMR INFRA (up 40.3%) and KALPATARU POWER (up 29.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,143 (down 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 5.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,147 (down 0.4%). BHARTI INFRATEL (up 9.0%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,717 to 41,143, registering a gain of 5,426 points (up 14.6%).

RELIANCE POWER Financial Update...

RELIANCE POWER net profit down at Rs 440 million for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 3.8% to Rs 20.2 billion during the period as against Rs 21.0 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE POWER reported 6.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 10.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 5.3% to Rs 98 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.3x.
