LAKSHMI VILAS BANK Surges by 5%; BSE BANKEX Index Down 0.9%

LAKSHMI VILAS BANK share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 20.
Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 36,231 (down 0.9%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is LAKSHMI VILAS BANK (up 5.0%).
HDFC BANK (down 0.7%) and ICICI BANK (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, LAKSHMI VILAS BANK has moved down from Rs 90 to Rs 20, registering a loss of Rs 70 (down 77.8%).
On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved up from 30,054 to 36,231, registering a gain of 6,177 points (up 19.3%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were ICICI BANK (up 42.5%), CITY UNION BANK (up 33.4%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 33.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 40,885 (down 0.4%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BAJAJ AUTO (up 2.1%), TCS (up 1.7%) and INFOSYS (up 0.7%). Other gainers include HERO MOTOCORP (up 0.6%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 0.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TCS and INFOSYS.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,069 (down 0.5%). BAJAJ AUTO (up 2.3%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,241 to 40,885, registering a gain of 4,644 points (up 12.1%).
