RELIANCE INFRA Surges by 5%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.6%

RELIANCE INFRA share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 23.
Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,900 (up 0.6%).
Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is RELIANCE INFRA (up 5.0%).
NHPC LTD (down 0.2%) and SIEMENS (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.
Over the last one year, RELIANCE INFRA has moved down from Rs 299 to Rs 23, registering a loss of Rs 276 (down 92.3%).
On the other hand, the BSE POWER has moved down from 2,009 to 1,900, loss of 109 points (down 5.5%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 56.4%), SIEMENS (up 49.4%) and GMR INFRA (up 30.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 41,810 (up 0.2%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are YES BANK (up 3.1%), SBI (up 2.2%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 1.8%). Other gainers include HERO MOTOCORP (up 1.8%) and TATA STEEL (up 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and SBI.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,294 (up 0.2%). YES BANK (up 3.4%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,484 to 41,810, registering a gain of 5,326 points (up 14.5%).
RELIANCE INFRA Financial Update...
RELIANCE INFRA net profit declined 235.6% YoY to Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 32.8% to Rs 54.7 billion during the period as against Rs 41.2 billion in April-June 2018.
For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE INFRA reported 468.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.6 billion compared to net loss of Rs 966.0 million during FY17.
Revenue of the company grew 3.7% to Rs 254 billion during FY18.
The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.1x.
