Indian Stock Market Updates June 14, 2018

GSK PHARMA at 52 Week High; BSE 500 Index Down 0.3 %

GSK PHARMA share price has hit a 52-week high at Rs 2,837 (up 0.99%).

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,882 (down 0.25%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are GSK PHARMA (up 0.99%) and SITI NETWORKS LTD (up 5.24%)

JAGRAN PRAKASHAN (down 6.81%) and ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK (down 6.02%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, GSK PHARMA has moved up from Rs 2,456 to Rs 2,837, registering a gain of Rs 381 (up 15.50%).

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,288 to 14,882, registering a gain of 1,594 points (up 11.68%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were INDIABULLS VENTURES (up 220.54%), JUBILANT FOODWORKS (up 177.17%) and BOMBAY DYEING (up 173.09%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 35,750 (down 0.33%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are DR. REDDYS LAB (up 1.54%), SUN PHARMA (up 0.98%) and BHARTI AIRTEL (up 0.88%). Other gainers include M&M (up 0.39%) and TATA MOTORS (up 0.19%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,834 (down 0.31%). BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.08%) and CIPLA (up 0.97%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,103 to 35,750, registering a gain of 4,647 points (up 14.52%).

GSK PHARMA Financial Update...

GSK PHARMA net profit grew 17.7% YoY to Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended March 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 897 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 106.4% to Rs 7.5 billion during the period as against Rs 7.0 billion in January-March 2017.

For the year ended March 2017, GSK PHARMA reported 22.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.7 billion during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 5.7% to Rs 30 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GSK PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 68.3x.
