Indian Stock Market Updates January 7, 2020

KRBL Plunges by 10%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.7%

KRBL share price has plunged 10% and is presently trading at Rs 284.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,571 (up 0.7%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are KRBL (down 9.9%) and GE POWER INDIA LTD (down 5.5%).

ITI LTD (up 15.9%) and CARE RATING (up 9.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, KRBL has moved down from Rs 291 to Rs 284, registering a loss of Rs 7 (down 2.4%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,389 to 15,571, registering a gain of 1,182 points (up 8.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 409.0%), RELIANCE NIPPON LIFE ASSET MANAGEMENT LTD (up 120.8%) and GUJARAT GAS (up 94.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,983 (up 0.8%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SBI (up 1.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are POWER GRID and COAL INDIA.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,129 (up 1.1%). ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 3.3%) and VEDANTA LTD (up 2.4%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,850 to 40,983, registering a gain of 5,133 points (up 14.3%).

KRBL Financial Update...

KRBL net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 4.9% to Rs 8.9 billion during the period as against Rs 9.4 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, KRBL reported 15.8% increase in net profit to Rs 5.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.3 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 26.9% to Rs 41 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of KRBL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 12.4x.
