RELIANCE INFRA Plunges by 5%; BSE POWER Index Down 1.3%

RELIANCE INFRA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 28.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,936 (down 1.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER Index today are RELIANCE INFRA (down 5.0%) and SUZLON ENERGY (down 10.0%).

Over the last one year, RELIANCE INFRA has moved down from Rs 299 to Rs 28, registering a loss of Rs 271 (down 90.7%)..

The BSE POWER has moved down from 1,986 to 1,936, loss of 50 points (down 2.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER Index stocks during this same period were ADANI TRANSMISSION (up 62.2%), GMR INFRA (up 45.1%) and SIEMENS (up 39.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,600 (down 0.8%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are BHARTI AIRTEL (up 0.2%) and TCS (up 0.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are BHARTI AIRTEL and TCS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,955 (down 1.0%). YES BANK (up 2.6%) and TCS (up 0.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,850 to 40,600, registering a gain of 4,750 points (up 13.1%).

RELIANCE INFRA Financial Update...

RELIANCE INFRA net profit declined 235.6% YoY to Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 32.8% to Rs 54.7 billion during the period as against Rs 41.2 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, RELIANCE INFRA reported 468.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.6 billion compared to net loss of Rs 966.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 3.7% to Rs 254 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RELIANCE INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 0.1x.
