Indian Stock Market Updates January 30, 2020

PIDILITE INDUSTRIES at All Time High; BSE FMCG Index Down 0.4%

PIDILITE INDUSTRIES share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 1,544 (up 2.7%).

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG Index is at 11,916 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG Index today are PIDILITE INDUSTRIES (up 2.7%) and P&G HYGIENE (up 0.3%).

KAVERI SEED and GILLETTE INDIA (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, PIDILITE INDUSTRIES has moved up from Rs 1,108 to Rs 1,544, registering a gain of Rs 436 (up 39.0%).

The BSE FMCG has moved up from 11,577 to 11,916, registering a gain of 339 points (up 2.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG Index stocks during this same period were AVANTI FEEDS (up 117.4%), TATA GLOBAL (up 87.0%) and NESTLE (up 37.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,380 (down 0.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 0.7%), BAJAJ AUTO (up 0.4%) and TCS (up 0.4%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 0.4%) and HERO MOTOCORP (up 0.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TECH MAHINDRA and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,150 (down 0.4%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include IOC (up 1.2%), NTPC (up 1.0%) and EICHER MOTOR (up 0.8%). Other gainers include BPCL (up 0.7%) and POWER GRID (up 0.6%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,592 to 41,380, registering a gain of 5,788 points (up 15.4%).

PIDILITE INDUSTRIES Financial Update...

PIDILITE INDUSTRIES net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 2.3% to Rs 18.1 billion during the period as against Rs 18.5 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, PIDILITE INDUSTRIES reported 3.9% decrease in net profit to Rs 9.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 9.7 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 13.8% to Rs 71 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PIDILITE INDUSTRIES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 73.0x.
