Indian Stock Market Updates January 31, 2020

UCO BANK Surges by 5%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 1.4%

UCO BANK share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 16.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 35,546 (up 1.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today are UCO BANK (up 5.5%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 5.3%).

CITY UNION BANK (down 1.2%) is among the top loser today.

Over the last one year, UCO BANK has moved down from Rs 19 to Rs 16, registering a loss of Rs 2 (down 13.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved up from 30,217 to 35,546, registering a gain of 5,329 points (up 17.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were ICICI BANK (up 45.8%), KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 40.4%) and HDFC BANK (up 21.5%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,154 (up 0.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 5.3%), INDUSIND BANK (up 1.3%) and AXIS BANK (up 1.2%). Other gainers include HERO MOTOCORP (up 1.1%) and POWER GRID (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are NTPC and POWER GRID.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,104 (up 0.2%). KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 5.1%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 1.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,591 to 41,154, registering a gain of 5,563 points (up 15.6%).
