P&G HYGIENE Surges by 9%; BSE FMCG Index Down 0.3%

P&G HYGIENE share price has zoomed 9% and is presently trading at Rs 12,450.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG Index is at 11,350 (down 0.3%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE FMCG Index today are P&G HYGIENE (up 8.9%) and JYOTHY LABS (up 5.8%).

TATA COFFEE (down 0.1%) and DABUR (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, P&G HYGIENE has moved up from Rs 9,847 to Rs 12,450, registering a gain of Rs 2,603 (up 21.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG has moved down from 11,748 to 11,350, loss of 398 points (down 3.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG Index stocks during this same period were AVANTI FEEDS (up 91.0%), TATA GLOBAL (up 82.4%) and NESTLE (up 33.6%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,701 (down 0.2%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are NTPC (up 2.1%), SUN PHARMA (up 1.5%) and L&T (up 1.0%). Other gainers include INDUSIND BANK (up 0.8%) and HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are L&T and HUL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,627 (down 0.3%). ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 1.9%) and IOC (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,469 to 39,701, registering a gain of 3,232 points (up 8.7%).

P&G HYGIENE Financial Update...

P&G HYGIENE net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 4.2% to Rs 8.5 billion during the period as against Rs 8.2 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended June 2018, P&G HYGIENE reported 13.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.3 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 1.5% to Rs 25 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of P&G HYGIENE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 93.9x.
