BHARTI INFRATEL Plunges by 12%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.2%

BHARTI INFRATEL share price has plunged 12% and is presently trading at Rs 236.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,684 (down 1.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are BHARTI INFRATEL (down 11.7%) and VODAFONE IDEA (down 13.2%).

TV18 BROADCAST (up 14.3%) and JAIPRAKASH ASSO. (up 9.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, BHARTI INFRATEL has moved down from Rs 317 to Rs 236, registering a loss of Rs 81 (down 25.4%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,875 to 15,684, registering a gain of 1,809 points (up 13.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 532.1%), NIPPON LIFE INDIA AMC (up 147.3%) and ICICI SECURITIES LTD (up 142.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,042 (down 1.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 0.7%), TECH MAHINDRA (up 0.4%) and TCS (up 0.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TCS and INFOSYS.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,031 (down 1.1%). BPCL (up 1.3%) and ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,498 to 41,042, registering a gain of 5,544 points (up 14.5%).

BHARTI INFRATEL Financial Update...

BHARTI INFRATEL net profit down at Rs 4 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 3.8% to Rs 16.7 billion during the period as against Rs 17.3 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, BHARTI INFRATEL reported 21.3% increase in net profit to Rs 14.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 12.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 3.1% to Rs 68 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BHARTI INFRATEL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.7x.
