AUROBINDO PHARMA Surges by 14%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 1.5%

AUROBINDO PHARMA share price has zoomed 14% and is presently trading at Rs 594.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 14,441 (up 1.5%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today is AUROBINDO PHARMA (up 14.5%).

ERIS LIFESCIENCES LIMITED (down 0.1%) and CAPLIN POINT (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, AUROBINDO PHARMA has moved down from Rs 718 to Rs 594, registering a loss of Rs 124 (down 20.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 13,334 to 14,441, registering a gain of 1,107 points (up 8.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were ABBOTT INDIA (up 118.2%), GRANULES INDIA (up 111.3%) and NARAYANA HRUDAYALAYA LTD (up 80.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 41,276 (up 0.8%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are NTPC (up 2.4%), INDUSIND BANK (up 1.7%) and HCL TECHNOLOGIES (up 1.4%). Other gainers include TATA STEEL (up 1.4%) and SBI (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,107 (up 0.8%). BHARTI INFRATEL (up 3.8%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,498 to 41,276, registering a gain of 5,778 points (up 16.1%).

AUROBINDO PHARMA Financial Update...

AUROBINDO PHARMA net profit down at Rs 7 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 7 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 10.1% to Rs 58.0 billion during the period as against Rs 52.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, AUROBINDO PHARMA reported 1.2% increase in net profit to Rs 24.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 24.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 18.6% to Rs 196 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of AUROBINDO PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 13.1x.
