Indian Stock Market Updates February 26, 2020

ENGINEERS INDIA Plunges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.2%

ENGINEERS INDIA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 80.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 16,245 (down 2.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is ENGINEERS INDIA (down 5.1%).

LAKSHMI MACHINE (up 2.2%) and SADBHAV ENGINEERING (up 0.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, ENGINEERS INDIA has moved down from Rs 107 to Rs 80, registering a loss of Rs 26 (down 24.5%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 16,839 to 16,245, loss of 594 points (down 3.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 55.9%), SIEMENS (up 36.6%) and SOLAR INDUSTRIES (up 25.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 40,255 (down 1.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 0.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HCL TECHNOLOGIES and AXIS BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,783 (down 1.1%). YES BANK (up 2.4%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,213 to 40,255, registering a gain of 4,042 points (up 9.8%).

ENGINEERS INDIA Financial Update...

ENGINEERS INDIA net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 908 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 54.4% to Rs 8.9 billion during the period as against Rs 5.8 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, ENGINEERS INDIA reported 2.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 35.7% to Rs 25 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ENGINEERS INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 12.2x.
