ALEMBIC PHARMA Plunges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 2.0%

ALEMBIC PHARMA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 650.
Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 13,801 (down 2.0%).
Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are ALEMBIC PHARMA (down 5.1%) and PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES (down 6.0%).
DR. LAL PATHLABS LTD (up 1.5%) and BLISS GVS PHARMA (up 0.6%) are among the top gainers today.
Over the last one year, ALEMBIC PHARMA has moved up from Rs 545 to Rs 650, registering a gain of Rs 105 (up 19.2%)..
The BSE HEALTHCARE has moved up from 13,711 to 13,801, registering a gain of 90 points (up 0.7%) during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were ABBOTT INDIA (up 115.3%), GRANULES INDIA (up 70.8%) and J.B.CHEMICALS (up 67.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 39,087 (down 3.1%).
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,385 (down 3.3%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 35,905 to 39,087, registering a gain of 3,182 points (up 7.3%).
ALEMBIC PHARMA Financial Update...
ALEMBIC PHARMA net profit stood at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 18.8% to Rs 12.1 billion during the period as against Rs 10.2 billion in October-December 2018.
For the year ended March 2019, ALEMBIC PHARMA reported 40.8% increase in net profit to Rs 5.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.2 billion during FY18.
Revenue of the company grew 25.7% to Rs 39 billion during FY19.
The current Price to earnings ratio of ALEMBIC PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 15.9x.
